It’s lunchtime and you want to be outside soaking up the sun, sipping on an island cocktail and eating local cuisine. The Fat Virgin located in the North Sound and a neighbor to Biras Creek, is the perfect place to grab lunch in between your morning hike and afternoon sail. We’re guilty of dropping by the Fat Virgin for some midday conch fritters… more than once a week. The front patio of The Fat Virgin is ideal as it borders the water, you can even hang your feet off the edge of the dock and soak up every moment and bite. An added bonus, the Fat Virgin even has a quaint boutique that offers typical souvenirs as well as unique local accessories and apparel pieces.
As frequent visitors of the Fat Virgin, here are our recommendations for the tastiest items on the menu.
- Conch Fritters: Made to perfection with just enough crisp and just enough flavor… we would get two orders if we were you
- Chicken Roti: East-Indian flat bread stuffed w/ curried chicken stew, served w/ chutney and garden salad
- Scarlet Red Snapper: Pan-fried red snapper served w/ garden salad and Esther’s scrumptious home fries
- Grouper Sandwich: Grouper fillet seasoned w/ our savory spice blend and dusted w/ flour, then pan-fried and topped w/ Baja cream, served on a sub roll.
